San Antonio 5K Running Tour

This is an active way to see and learn about San Antonio. The tour meets, begins, and finishes in front of the Alamo. From the Alamo, you run to 15 different stops talking about the historic landmarks of downtown San Antonio, stopping at each for a brief 2-3 minute story of that location. Runners of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to join the tour. The stops along the tour include The Menger Hotel, Torch of Friendship, Palacio del Rio, Convention Center, Hemisfair Park and the Tower of the Americas, La Vallita, Arneson River Theatre, County Court House, El Mercado, Spanish Governor's Palace, City Hall, San Fernando Cathedral, The River, Southwest School of Art, Tobin Center, Buckhorn Saloon, and Emily Morgan Hotel.

Water is provided during the tour and pictures are taken throughout. At the end of the run, each runner is given a t-shirt and access to the photos from that tour. This is the original active way to see San Antonio. Bring your running shoes!
