Good
:
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and the hotel is, by taxi, only 15-minutes from the airport or 5 minutes from the Old Town. Otherwise the place has little atmosphere and is just too big for my liking.
:
On arrival, we were "upgraded" from the VIP room which we had reserved into a room on the 16th floor of the main tower of what from outside looks like a huge office block rather than a hotel. The "upgrade" was into an ultra-modern room, so far so good, but then the disappointment on our faces when we saw the shower and toilet!! How any architect and/or hotel owner can truly believe that guests might actually like the layout is beyond me! Maybe I am just old-fashioned, but I just cannot find any reason whatsoever to have the shower and wc as part of the bedroom, separated only by some glass. Surely everyone needs at least minimal privacy occasionally but there is none and to make matters worse there are mirrors everywhere, even on the walls surrounding the toilet itself. We therefore requested to have the more conventional type of room we had in fact reserved but none was available till the next day. So next morning we were offered a room as booked and which, to our joy, had a regular bathroom with a door and walls! Although not the sea-view double room which we had booked, but a rear-view twin-bedded room, we still took it. As for the hotel itself, it may qualify as a 5-star hotel but it is 4-star at best. Some of the hotel policies are unacceptable, such as the extra charges for using the tea or coffee sachets provided in the room, the fitness centre or having fresh orange juice at breakfast. The road between the hotel and the (mostly stony) beach is the busiest on the island and although there is an underground passage (mind your head!), to cross anywhere else can take quite a while, so definitely not so ideal for families with young children or pushchairs.

Disappointing
:
The breakfast and lunch were decent. Well located to the beach (chairs not free though). Lots of restaurant around.
:
Everything cost extra money e.g. the gym 5 euro per day. The room air cons barely work hold the room at 24 degrees Celsius (not a very good when you want to cool down). Rooms look nothing like advertised and are lot worse.
The breakfast is good but cold. The staff are mostly fine but the front staff who will deal with you when issue occurs are very rude. The towel system is poor when arrived early they refused to give a towel as we hadn't officially got a room yet.
When arrived a request was made for two beds, they denied they ever saw this. However, email evidence from booking.com and from a communication from the hotel itself confirmed they had seen all this.
Definitely not a 5 star hotel. A better 3 star hotel.

Very Good
:
We liked the renovated rooms with the sea view, the interior design is so nice and the rooms are absolutely stunning!!
Breakfast is good and has many options to choose from but can get a bit better
:
The concierge was disappointing and the fact that we had to pay for a beach chairs because the hotel doesn’t have a private beach

Poor
:
NOTHING- DO NOT STAY HERE!
:
The room was absolutely filthy when we arrived - remnants of the previous guests' food was all over the floor by the sofa and the tables were dirty; this was never cleaned during the 4 nights we stayed there. The bedroom also had peeling paint and broken furniture. The bathroom hasn't been modernised in over 40 years and the fixtures were covered in limescale and were rusty. To top it off there was plenty of BLACK MOULD in the corners of the bath, in the sink and all over the shower head! I raised this with management and showed them photos and they simply said that it was a 'non-renovated room' - they did absolutely nothing to investigate my concerns, which indicates that all the rooms on these lower floors are the same, and they didn't offer any level of compensation or offer another room. The rooms they describe as needing refurbishment are disgusting and look like old fashioned motel rooms. All the staff we encountered, apart from one of the waiters, was extremely rude. Every time we passed the reception desk there were people complaining and shouting - I've never seen this in a hotel before. Our room wasn't ready on arrival, even though we arrived after 2pm, and we had to queue 3 times for 45 minutes in total to get our room key. Management doesn't have a clue what a 5 star hotel is - a 1 star hotel would have been more comfortable and cleaner and 1/5th of the price! This experience (not to mention the wasted hours raising the issues with the hotel) ruined our stay in Rhodes, which is a real pity as it's a lovely island. This hotel is an embarrassment to Rhodes - check out reviews on other websites as well, I wish we had done that before booking this cesspit!

Exceptional
:
The room was newly renovated and very nice. The view was phenomenal.
:
When we booked, we got a message that they have a Nespresso machine in the room. But after we had a coffee we noticed that they charge for capsules. If they charge for it I would expect it to be specified.

Good
:
Nice breakfast and spacious room.
:
The hotel needs renovation in doors, marble floors, carpets, bathrooms etc. To find elevators available was very challenging in the morning and evening. You can't find parking at the facility after 6pm.
