Exceptional
:
We loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The service was very good. We loved the food, particularly at the Thai restaurant which had beautiful flavours. We stayed for four nights and ate there twice. The resort also catered for my husband who is a celiac and needed gluten free. The staff were very accommodating. The breakfast was very good and gave us a good start to the day to get us to dinner time. There was lunch available at two of the restaurants as well as the street food available in the local village which was a short stroll from the resort. We kayaked, went on a snorkeling cruise and had a massage at the day spa. There are many boat trips out to the island to choose from. I also loved the fact the resort is trying to reduce their waste and impact on the environment by using paper straws, glass water bottles, refillable body wash and cream, no plastic bags lining the bins etc. Very impressive.
:
We can not fault the resort or the staff. We had a wonderful stay.

Good
:
The rooms and grounds are beautiful.
They have three beaches and free water sports for hotel guests.
:
We have stayed in many 5 star resorts before Rayavadee, and so we were expecting a certain level of service which was not achieved.
We weren’t introduced to anyone from guest services personally like we heard later some other guests were.
We had to run after the staff with our needs- again, it’s ok, but not what you would expect from this sort of a resort.
The worst was during check out, they forgot to come pick our luggage up from the room, even though we went over to guest services the night before and asked if someone could come and help us. Once they arrived an hour late, they only took the luggage on the caddy and left us to walk to the reception area.
It was just weird. Not that we can’t walk, again strange behavior.
The feeling is that they know they are the only worthy resort at Railay Beach and that’s why there may be less of an effort on their part.

:
The plants are in good condition.
The view from the pool is amazing.
:
Facilities are a bit neglected and things just look old.
You need a boat from Krabi and then back, which makes it quite expensive

Good
:
I loved the beach, it's a dream. And when the tour boats leave it's really like paradise.
The pool area is amazing and very relaxing.
The views all around are really breahtaking.
The staff is really nice.
:
It is really OVER PRICED. The food , drinks and services like massage are a total joke... for less than 3 days we have payed 810 euros on food and 1 couple massage. We were ordering normal dish and no alcohol on lunch or diner ( only 1 drink at sun set) they know we don't have a choice so they price like they want. The hotel should really review this , as for me it is a reason of not coming again and not recommending this hotel.
Also at the beach of the hotel there are tours that come and park the boats. It gets really crowded and noisy. It's very annoying.
The breakfast is really a BIG disapointement , for such a hotel, no choice at the buffet and very average quality food.

Wonderful
:
The staff and the service. They fulfilled all our requests with a smile. They knew our names everywhere. Osman was great and very professional.
:
The transportation is a bit complicated and expensive.
You have to reach a private pier then take a boat 900 bhat per person. Too expensive.
The breakfast could have been better for the price we pay. I had better in much cheaper places.
We had many mosquitos in the room. We had to ask for a bed net
