: Baladin restored my faith in Zanzibar hotels. After having a bad experience at Kwanza Resort in Kizimkazi, I was very excited to get to Baladin and honestly wish we had booked to stay more days. From the very moment we arrived we were greeted by warm and friendly staff, Patricia was fantastic and had our bags sent to our room because we had lunch booked at The Rock. When we returned, we were shown to our room by Annalisa, who is the loveliest lady Ive ever met. She was just so warm and made me feel reassured on my second hotel choice. We stayed in bungalow Giza which was really cute and had enough space for our suitcases on the bottom floor and a very comfortable king size bed upstairs. The room had both a fan and air con which kept us nicely cool and the best addition was the fridge which actually kept our drinks cool. Sustainability is something that is important to Baladin and you see that from the offset with the water bottles they offer you for $5 upon arrival. I am still using mine even though Im now home! The food in the restaurant was soooo good!! The breakfast always came with a warm basket of fresh bread, which I still dream about. We had lunch and dinner and some snacks here for the two days we stayed and I was pleasantly surprised by how low our bill was upon check out. The food is truly excellent and great value for money. I recommend the French fries which comes with the nicest mayo and also the stir fry noodles with beef, so delicious. Every single staff member was helpful and would always go above and beyond. We never felt rushed and Baladin let us hang out on their beach all day as we waited to go the airport. Overall it was a great stay and fantastic location, I would definitely stay again.

: The only things I would change is making the wifi stronger and having telephones in the bungalow so that we can call reception with ease.
