Very Disappointing Experience at Camar Resort Langkawi
Our stay at Camar Resort was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price and the “resort” standard they claim to offer. We booked two lagoon rooms, but the experience from start to finish was far from pleasant.
Check‑in was painfully slow, with long, unnecessary procedures that made the process frustrating.
No proper room service throughout the stay even basic expectations were not met.
No drinking water provided in the rooms, which is shocking for a resort.
They required multiple deposits, some of which made no sense. We can accept deposit for the rooms, but having the tourism tax separated instead of including it in the total charges felt inconvenient and poorly managed.
Check‑out was equally slow, because they insisted on inspecting the room before returning the deposit ,something we have never experienced in any 4‑ or 5‑star hotel.
On top of that, we were charged RM15 for a stain on a towel, which felt unreasonable and petty.
The quality of the buffet breakfast also not meeting the 4- or 5start hotel.
Overall, the service did not reflect the standards of a comfortable or enjoyable stay. We left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. We will not be returning and definitely do not recommend this resort

It’s perfect for couples and families who value space, poolside leisure, and a quieter atmosphere, but less ideal if you’re seeking vibrant nightlife or extensive dining options.

Our stay at Camar Resort Langkawi was flawless. The direct pool access room was spacious and modern, and stepping straight into the pool from our terrace felt like pure luxury. The beach was quiet and beautiful, perfect for sunsets. Staff were warm and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway."

Lovely, comfortable room with good facilities! The area is fairly good, a little too far to walk everyday into the main part but there are plenty of scooter rentals around & other good restaurants :)
The pool is huge & great!

Very beautiful property, on a nice quiet beach. Staff is very kind. Pool is huge and clean.
