:
Location, facilities and overall quality of the hotel were really good
:
Some of the facilities (infinity pool area) closed multiple times in a 5 night stay due to outside functions taking place. Somewhat frustrating after the 2nd/3rd time

I love the pool above the building where you can see the view of the beach and of course, the landscaping, architecture and interiors of the hotel makes you just want to stay inside. Also the location of the hotel, which is in station one is very exclusive.
:
Although their pastries are "superb" which made me think that it's their specialty, most of the food they put out in the buffet are not really good. And unfortunately, most of the restaurants outside the building are super far from the hotel so it's either you'll walk 20-30 mins from your hotel or you take "tricycle".

The resort is located at the 'quieter' end of White Beach which is great and is still only 10-15 minute walk to Station 1 & 2 where more restaurants and stores are located.
Breakfast was excellent - buffet style with enormous variety to suit both eastern and western tastes. We stayed for 9 days so the staff got to know us quite well after a while & were extra friendly.
Rooms were spacious and well appointed with a modern feel. ALL bathroom amenities were refreshed every day and free water was supplied too. Late afternoon a small plate of biscuits or cakes were delivered to the room which was a lovely touch and small gifts of postcards or key rings were left when the nightly service/turn down occurred. Everywhere staff were seen cleaning and they were always friendly and smiling.
The experience we most want to emphasise is the medical care. Our 15 yr old son was violently sick with vomiting and diarrhoea the first afternoon and evening we arrived. After 5 hours of this ( our Imodium and Buscopan didn't work), we phoned reception for a dr. We were told a nurse would be sent shortly. He arrived within 5 minutes! He was knowledgeable, caring and also able to dispense nausea medications. He checked my son's temperature, heart rate and oxygen levels, all of which weren't great given his dehydrated state. He gave us and him instructions on what to do for the next two hours and told us to contact him again if the medication didn't work. He left three medications to use in particular order. They worked!
It was the follow up care that we were most impressed with. The nurse phoned my son (he was in a separate room) three times throughout the next day to see how he was and then a bowl of porridge and plate of fruit was sent free of charge to his room. Two days after, he was tracked down by the duty manager in our room so a total of 4 follow up calls were made to check how he was doing. This was outstanding and needs acknowledgement and...

Breakfast - probably could be offered until later. Last call and clean up started about 10am which for holidaygoers is pretty early. A 10.30am-11am conclusion would be far better.
In the 9 days we stayed, there were 3 weddings and another event hosted. These take over the entire upstairs infinity pool area which meant we only got to enjoy the pool area once, due to our other activities. There was never any advice to guests, like signs or letters in our room which is standard at other resorts when they host these events. It is courteous to let guests know prior that these areas are inaccessible for a particular period, especially as we're paying for these facilities.
The WIFI was OK when we arrived in our room - but the public areas were very, very slow. This got worse during our stay, both in-room & in the main areas especially when there were events and when The Lind got busier. I realise general mains power is limited and unreliable but WIFI does need to be improved. We had difficulty monitoring the volcano situation and our flight status as the internet was slow or kept dropping out. This is not really acceptable in this day and age.
Final issue is service. Staff are polite and seem eager to please, but the actual service was not always good. Follow up on simple things was often missed and drinks always took ages to arrive. More often than not, our meals arrived before our drinks which was frustrating as it was hot and we needed to drink first! At concierge, we asked for assistance with activities but it was clear, no matter who we approached, that they knew no detail about what was available and included. A couple of ladies tried to help but their lack of knowledge and not pursuing the 'details' for us was frustrating as they should be able to find this out more simply and quickly than us. Most of the time we finalised details ourselves. We also were told we had to pay cash for most activities, which we found out later was not the case.

The Lind offers a complete exclusive experience of their premium facilities in a lovely setting for a vacationer’s dream relaxation place. The infinity pool level and its romantic view was oneof a kind and will give you a peaceful relaxation on your stay. Most of the staff was attentive to guests’ needs. The food and beverage experience was good as well. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet selection and snack menu availability during the day. A quaint little place to remove stress. A lovely treat for my birthday :)

Not everyone (staff) was hospitable. Construction noise beside our almost perfect room.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Great location in a quiet part at the end of station 1. Breakfast was not fantastic but good enough. Swimming pools were quite good, never too crowded. Amazing sunsets from the rooftop pool. We got a free upgrade to a room with great views.
:
Reception staff seemed a bit grumpy, many mistakes in my bill at check-out, not very flexible times for free transport to pier upon check-out.
